It was the first summer-feeling day in Sydney this spring and that meant the moths were in a frenzy that night. Hundreds of them were outside banging against our kitchen window because of the fluorescent light inside. Where ever there was a spiderweb there was a spider frantically trying to roll the moths in web thread before they could escape.
My frogs were excited because I caught many of the moths and fed them.
After all the commotion died down and it was time for bed I found a candle still burning and the poor moth who was killed my coming toward the light. I bed he'd be thinking twice to flap towards the light of Moth Heaven. RIP.
